Urdu Academy pays tribute to Haleem Qureshi
Urdu Academy of North American's January 18, 2015 session was dedicated to the life and work of a well known poet of Pakistan, Haleem Qureshi. The literary event was held at the Chandni Restaurant, Newark, CA.
G. S. Falak sahib presided over the event while Tashie Zaheer, President of the Urdu Academy, was MC. Tashie Zaheer presented a well researched maqala on the life and work of Haleem Qureshi.

Gul Hai Ranga Rang
January literary event was divided into two session. The first session was dedicated to the life and work of Haleem Qureshi while the Urdu lovers presented poetry of their choice ("Gul Hai Ranga Rang") in the second session.Among those who participated in the "Gul Hai Ranga Rang" program included: Hatim Rani, Jaafar Shah, Mehmoodul Hasan, Moeez Khan, Roohi Asim, Syed Aslam, Tajwar Shahana,Tasadduq Attari, Zafar Khan and Abdus Sattar Ghazali.
